Our Classes

Both Erin and Sandra teach yoga based on alignment, we do not offer  vinyasa or flow-style classes. Our classes are slow, taught with precision and designed to educate our students.

Our classes are small. We delight in being able to offer skilled instruction with your individual needs in mind. Both Erin and Sandra are certified as Yoga Therapists.

We teach with detail and specificity. We remain in postrures, as opposed to flowing through them. We use lots and lots of props. You will find that doing a posture with integrity is a serious challenge to body, mind and breath!

If you are seeking certified Iyengar instructors, we happily recommend our friends at the Portland Yoga Studio.

Embodied Alignment

Currently on hiatus. Interested in attending a class based on Katy Bowman's work? Email Erin!

Our Embodied Alignment classes are based on the work of Katy Bowman's Nutritious Movement method (Erin is a Nutritious Movement™ Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist). These sessions  focus on: the details of alignment, re-establishing a connection to your primal posture and improving your abilities in functional movement (standing, sitting, squatting, walking). Alignment and movement are the heart of this work.  Open to all levels!

Schedule varies

Erin offers occasional short sessions (3-4 weeks) based on yoga therapeutics. These topic specific classes are limited to 6 participants who require similar considerations in yoga. For example, a Shoulder Therapeutics course focuses on poses, movements and alignment to improve shoulder health and function.  Be in touch with Erin if you are curious about the next session.

Healthy Aging

Tuesdays at 8am, Fridays at noon

Healthy Aging is a modified class that uses lots of props (including a chair) to ensure a stable and safe practice for those with arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, back pain and other limitations. A major focus of every class is enhancing our skills of BALANCE. We welcome any younger students who need to adapt for any injury or limitation.  One of most beloved classes, our regulars will tell you that Healthy Aging is serious stuff (with lots of laughter)!

Level 1

Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am, Wednesdays at 6pm

Level 1 is perfect for brand new yoga students, as well as those students seeking a slow pace and a gentle practice. This class builds the foundations of a yoga practice. This is the best entry point for students who are relatively healthy, without significant limitations, who are curious about starting yoga.

Level 2

Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at  8am

Level 2 classes are appropriate for students with more than 2 years of regular practice. In our level 2 classes, we will practice deeper poses, such as backbends and inversions.  Expect longer holds, a slow pace and a sense of exploration. Understanding and clarity are developed through this class.  Our level 2 classes are for our experienced students.

Private Sessions

Erin offers one-on-one guidance as yoga therapy. Please visit the Yoga Therapy page to learn more.
