Our Shoulder Therapeutics class will work with basic movements, simple stretches and practical breathing techniques to improve strength, range of motion and function at the shoulder and upper back. No fancy yoga poses will be included! This is open to all levels of students who want to build a yoga practice for their shoulder concerns. Our group will be small (8 students or less) and your teacher has many years offering the yoga perspective to rotator cuff issues, muscle stiffness, postural habits, arthritis, frozen shoulder rehab, SLAP tears and other common concerns.
Erin's therapeutic classes are designed to assist in creating strength and range of motion for both functional movements as well as the movements within a yoga practice. She, as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist, cannot offer medical advice or a diagnosis for symptoms you may have.
This four week session is open to both experienced yoga students, and new yoga students. Join us if you have a current shoulder issue and are cleared for exercise by your health care practitioner, or if you have dealt with a shoulder issue in the past and want to maintain health, or if you find that you cannot participate in a general yoga class. If you are in an acute phase of injury or are not back to full activities post-operative, please wait until pain and inflammation have subsided before registering for class.
If you are uncertain that this class is appropriate for you, please email Erin with your questions.
